I rely on macOS for everything, with my 14-inch M1 Pro MacBook Pro (2TB SSD, 32GB RAM) as my primary device. It’s portable, powerful, and handles all my tasks effortlessly. While I don’t feel the need to upgrade, the M5 chips might tempt me down the line.

For storage, I use external SSDs for large video, photo, and design files. My 13-inch iPad Pro supports sketching, wireframing, and typography, while my iPhone 15 Pro Max doubles as a pocketable camera and versatile tool. Together, these three devices form the core of my workflow.

If I had to pick one, my MacBook is my top choice—it’s essential.

Starting with the essentials, here’s my curated list of go-to tools and favorite workspace products.

Desktop

This is my daily workhorse. It handles everything I throw at it—from design work, photo and video editing —without breaking a sweat for the most part. Compact, great display, powerful, and a joy to use.

I use this iPad for sketching, experimenting with mixed-medium artwork, and, of course, note-taking. The screen is absolutely stunning, and paired with the Apple Pencil, it’s perfect for creative work wherever I go.

A stunning 5K display with excellent color accuracy. The design is sleek and top-notch. It doesn’t get much better than this unless you opt for the XDR display. Plus, it blends seamlessly into the Apple ecosystem.

Latest addition to my keyboard collection—and it’s been my main one lately. The typing experience is absolutely buttery smooth with a satisfying, “thocky” sound. It also features my preferred layout: 65%, which is perfect for mechanical keyboards.

Best mouse for ergonomics (at least for me), and I’ve tried quite a few. This is the S model, which is super silent—and honestly, I can’t go back to anything else!

I mostly use this for browsing and if I’m doing a lot of research for a project.

If you’ve never added a light bar to your setup, it’s a total game changer. It helps a lot with eye strain and adds a cozy vibe to your workspace at night.

Orbitkey Leather Desk Mat

Great leather mouse pad overall, but I personally prefer the feel of wool felt.

Grovemade Wool Felt Desk Pad

My current go-to desk mat. Overall, it’s really good—though a bit pricey. Grovemade makes high-quality products, but you can definitely find good alternatives for less online.

Charging

Latest addition to my setup, this one stays in the workspace. It charges my phone, AirPods, and watch all at once. The design is sleek, it offers fast wireless charging, and it’s portable—which is great for traveling too.

A solid wireless charger overall. I used this one for a while, but now it’s stationed on my bedside table.

Other Keyboards

KBDFans Tofu65

Fully custom keyboard I built from scratch. I might add more details here later to share my passion for keyboards and highlight some of the builds I’ve worked on over the years.

Great all-around keyboard. Once again, 65% is my favorite layout. This one is hot-swappable, so you can easily customize the switches to suit your preferences.

Storage

Perfect for adding your own NVMe SSD. Plus, it has a great design!

My go-to external SSD. I’ve got a few of these, and you really can’t go wrong with them.

LaCie makes excellent hard drives, which has been proven throughout the creative community. I mostly use these to archive footage or old projects.

Audio

Great design, sound quality, and noise cancellation. I ended up selling these and switching to the XM5s, which I now prefer. For the price, I think the XM5s are a better choice.

These are always in my bag and used daily—for calls, podcasts, music, and more. Probably my most used item in recent years. The Pro 2s are definitely better, and the seamless switch between Mac and iPhone is a game changer.

Best headphones I’ve had in a while. The sound quality is definitely up there, though it’s not the main highlight. They’re super comfortable, the battery lasts longer (compared to the AirPods Max), and I love the minimal design.

I’ve had these for a decade and recently upgraded to the BT version. They’re my go-to when I want a more neutral sound signature or when editing a video and fine-tuning the sound design. They sound great, but it’s truly if you’re looking for something more precise.

Great sound interface. I got it based on recommendations, and overall, it’s been good.

For their size, these are pretty amazing. Especially when paired with a subwoofer (which I’ve listed below), they really come to life. I love the design, and the port connectivity is great too.

I’ve had the passive version of these for years, and they’ve been great overall. No longer use them, but I was initially drawn to them for the design, and the sound quality is solid too.

These speakers are a solid choice for the price. I’ve used them for a while, and they deliver great sound quality for everyday use. The wooden finish gives them a nice vintage vibe, and the controls on the side make it easy to adjust on the fly. Perfect for a casual setup.

Stands

The design of this stand is sleek and simple. It keeps my desk looking organized.

I’ve had this for years—sleek, sturdy, and keeps my laptop elevated and my desk tidy. Great for improving posture and boosting airflow to the laptop.

Conveniently holds my iPad in place. The magnetic feature makes it easy to adjust and it’s perfect for watching content or getting work done hands-free.

Simple, sturdy stand with a sleek design. Keeps my headphones organized and easily accessible while adding a nice touch to my setup.

A recent addition to my setup, this stand is both sleek and functional. I like how it lifts my monitor to eye level, helping improve my posture.

Stationery & Packs

This backpack is incredibly comfortable to wear and has a sleek, modern design. It holds and organizes my camera gear with ease, making it ideal for both everyday use and photography trips.

Traveler’s Notebook

Heard great things about this notebook for organizing to-dos, and after seeing all the positive reviews, I had to try it. The leather feel is amazing, and it’s built to last. It’s quickly become one of my favorites for keeping track of my daily tasks.

Reliable and smooth pen with a simple, ergonomic design. Perfect for everyday use and great for anyone starting with fountain pens.

I like how this pen offers a smooth writing experience with a sleek black finish. It’s a classy, enjoyable pen for everyday use.
